Accessibility

We are committed to making the West London Marathon site as accessible as possible, aiming to meet level 2 of the International Web Accessibility standards in all parts of the website.

We have also enabled access keys for our main pages.  To use, press the key combination from the list below then press enter.  The access key combinations are:

  • Alt 1 links to our home page
  • Alt 2 links to your miles log
  • Alt 3 links to the sharing area
  • Alt 4 links to the about page
  • Alt 5 links to our contact page
  • Alt 6 links to the registration form if you are a new user, or your details if you are logged in
  • Alt 7 links to our sign-in page if you haven't logged-in
  • Alt 0 Links to this accessibility page

You can also use standard windows shortcut keys to help navigate around the site. For example, pressing the Alt and forward / backward button on your keyboard is the same as clicking on the forward/backward buttons in your browser. Pressing the Tab key helps you to move around the page and saves you from using the mouse. Each time you press the Tab key, it will move you to the next section or button on the screen. Once you have moved to the button that you want, press enter and the computer will think you clicked the mouse.

The text size on this site can be changed using your browser:

  • Internet Explorer users: Select the "View" menu, then "Text size"
  • FireFox users: Select the "View" menu, then "Zoom". You may also check "Zoom text only" to only increase the size of the text
  • Safari users: Select the "View" menu, then "Make text bigger" or "Make text smaller"
  • Opera users: Select the "View" menu, then "Zoom"
